Profile - Silverfish

Silverfish are small, bug-like mobs which have silver skin and black eyes that are normally found in Strongholds. They can hide inside cobblestone, regular stone, and stone bricks. Although they only have eight health points (Four hearts) and an attack strength of one (Half a heart) they can be very deadly if they appear in a swarm.

Profile - Slime

Slimes are one of the most difficult mobs to find as they currently have no mob spawner set in the game and only spawn at levels close to Bedrock. Slimes are found only in the lowest forty layers of the map, and only in certain areas.

Slimes spawn in three sizes;
Tiny – 0.6 block cube
Small – 1.2 block cube
Big – 2.5 block cube

Fun fact – Tiny Slimes cannot harm the player as their attack strength is zero.

Profile - Ghast

Ghast`s are a mob found exclusively in the Nether. Their bodies are four by four by four block cubes with nine tentacle-like limbs hanging from the bottom. Map - Skyblock

Today is something different, a recommendation for anyone who wishes to play Minecraft. One of the simplest yet most enjoyable and frustrating map i have played is known as Skyblock.
The basic premise of Skyblock is that The Player spawns on a right angle shaped block in the sky with limited resources and a tree. The Player then has to complete a bunch of tasks including;

- Building and lighting a Nether Portal
- Crafting a Bed
- Making a Mob Spawner

There are also many other challenges. Map is available for download Here. Enjoy :)

Profile - The Player

The Player is the character you control. The default player is known as "Steve?" (Notch puts the question mark because the name "Steve" is still not confirmed to be his real name) The Player`s skin is completely customisable. The Player is shown to be right-handed and only holds blocks with his right hand. In Minecraft, Zombie`s have a similar skin but it is ripped.

Minecraft goes 'split screen' (Xbox)

The Xbox Minecraft release will now benefit from the ability to have a split screen viewing.

"Microsoft has revealed that the Xbox Live version of Minecraft will boast a four-player split screen mode, allowing groups of avid crafters to work together. There will also be an eight-player online multiplayer mode – and this can be combined with split screen, allowing roomfuls of four people to work co-operatively. "

You can check out the trailer made by Mojang employees and Notch below;

Currently there is no set release date however Microsoft has hinted at a spring 2012 release.
